These are some Halloween drabbles, in honor of the holiday. Enjoy!
Title: Nighttime Horrors
Pairing: Remus/Sirius if you squint
Rating: PG
Remus Lupin had never been afraid of monsters. How could he be when he was one himself? He had never feared boogey men under the bed or things with teeth and claws in the closet. Vampires in the night hardly gave him a second thought, ghouls did nothing for him. He was a fanged nighttime fear. But huddled under the covers in the Gryffindor boy’s dorm, listening to Sirius as he spun ghastly tales of haunted horrors, Remus forgot what he was and shivered as phantom chills ran up his spine. Sirius could always make him forget what he was.
Title: Party Preperations
Pairing: Hermione/Ginny
Rating: PG-13
“Hold still!” Hermione always got frustrated when doing Ginny’s hair or makeup. Ginny could never stay still. Hermione clucked her tongue as she stepped back. One of Ginny’s stenciled on whiskers was now crooked.
“Let me fix it.”
“That’s okay,” Ginny said, adjusting the black kitty ears that peeked out of her hair. “Leave it.”
“Are you sure?” Hermione’s thumb traced Ginny’s jaw. “I imagine you want to impress Harry...”
Ginny knew Hermione was teasing. She always teased, in that school teacher voice of hers. “It’s not Harry I want to impress.”
They never made it to the Halloween party.
Title: Bonfire Night
Pairing: Remus/Severus
Rating: R

The bonfire had been Severus’ idea, the garland of autumn leaves had been Remus’. The Forbidden Forest was dark and cold beneath the Gibbous moon, tendrils of fog curling about the bases of blackened tree trunks. The fire chased the shadows deep into the fog and underbrush, and Remus tipped his head back and growled in warning. He tore the clothing from Severus’ body, but left the crown of leaves. Fire and moonlight painted them both as wild things, wolf god and prey. The fire warmed their joining, and kept the forest spirits away. And in the end, they both howled.
