We Will Meet Accidentally When She Borrows My Pen

I don't know why I woke up with 'Short Skirt, Long Jacket' on my head, but I did.

Waking up regularly at between 9:30 and 10. This is good. I'm on a normal sleep pattern, finally. I was a little worried last night - I wasn't feeling well at all, and couldn't keep down food. But I had some of my herbal relief, and was able to eat and sleep like a normal person.

It's going to be hot as hell today. It's not even 10:30, and it's already almost 90 degrees. I will not be setting foot outside my home today.

I've started making my own iced mochas. Half coffee, half goat's milk cocoa, dumped into a glass full of ice. Delicious.

For my fellow seamstresses out there: any tips for sewing faux fur? I'm doing some trim work today, and I've never sewn fake fur onto anything else before. Any suggestions or tips and tricks are most welcome.

I've lost interest in pretty much every secret community other than ic_secrets. I never grow tired of that place. And one day I dream of having a secret about one of my characters posted there. Yes, I'm that easily entertained.

I really do need to finish with my workroom. It's a small bit of a mess. I think I'll make some more coffee and get started on that.

ETA: And because I share every little new random detail I discover this time through SH4... In Hospital World, when Henry comes across that board of pictures and the cut scene plays and he pulls one off and looks at it....

He keeps that picture. It's in his hand as he walks away. I never noticed that before.

Costume Progress Post - Triana Casual Gown

I'm sure you all missed these. ;)

This time it's a costume for me! I probably won't wear it to cons, because it's from an obscure book series, but I don't care. I'm going to be able to do a photoshoot with talia_speaks for it at the end of the month.

Dress base is done. I know I wanted it to be red, because...well, when cosplaying a character who's main trait is 'seductress', red comes to mind. And I immediately wanted to do the trim/accents in gold, but I can't do that. Red and gold are the Hernalth colors, and the Lady of Falcion would not wear another powerful House's colors. Which led to me pouring over the damn encyclopedia and looking up the colors of every single freaking House on par with or above Triana's.

Dress is red and bronze.
