All You Need Is Love....
I managed to get up at a reasonable hour today! Technically I woke up at 8:30, but I realized that I'd done all the dishes last night, and scrubbed the counters and stove, so I could afford to doze a bit in bed for a while. Now I'm up, I've got my protein shake, I took my vitamins, and I am feeling like a real human being.
We realized yesterday that my sudden breakdown, weird mood, and subsequent panic attacks through the day are because like the idiot I am, I've been forgetting my vitamins. I take vitamins mostly for the mental and emotional boost, and it's been weeks since I took my B-complex or anything else. So
nijawial is going to draw me a little picture to tape to the mirror to remind me every morning to take them. :D
I had no idea so many of you had Facebooks! :D I'm still figuring out the site, but so far I'm liking it.
And thank you to everyone who commented on that meme. Reading all of that really, really did make me feel better. I have some amazing friends, and I am grateful for each and every one of you. I don't know what I'd do without my Flist.
We went with
enigmablade and
summoneddestiny yesterday to look at fish tanks, and were killed with cute by the dwarf hamsters. I fear we may end up giving one of the little buggers a home. We do have the big Habitrail cage that Hank and Dean have long grown out of - they live in a giant aquarium now, and are much happier with all that space. And plenty of shavings, food, toys etc....
Today on the schedule is:
Work out
Clean living room
Do laundry
Work on fic
RP in between
Everyone's posted for, actually, and my girls are on the move to hook up with their respective companions for the night. :D

Eeek, yeah, that can do it. :/ Poor little guy.
Guinea pigs can be great pets! They do need a large cage and lots of space, and they can be very noisy when they get excited, but they're sweet and social animals. They're best in pairs, they love to be held and petted, and they can be hilarious to watch. They sometimes play by doing something called 'popcorning', which is essentially the piggy jumping around wildly and chirping like crazy. They have a lifespan of about 7-9 years, so they'll be with you for a good chunk of time. I definitely recommend them as pets for folks who are looking for a smaller animal, but something larger than a hamster or a gerbil and a bit more...personable.

Tell me about it. I've left a couple posts on yours, but I'm just getting used to using it.
It was sad, because he'd come with us from here to there. And we didn't even really get to enjoy having him there. And that's the least of what these things can do. Mosquitoes in Puerto Rico carry something called "dengue", along with the other diseases. These things can kill you fast if you don't get treatment.
I wouldn't mind if it was noisy, as long as it wasn't as noisy as a bird. We had a pair of cockatiels a while back, before we had to give them away. They were literally whistling and screaming for hours on end sometimes (and it wasn't our choice to get them; they were a 'gift'). They were amusing to watch, seeing them stepping over each other and pecking at each other, as well as flying around and playing with stuff, but the noise made them a difficult pet sometimes. (Yes, the male literally stepped over the female to get to the other side. They had one house inside the cage that they fought over, even though we put another house on the lower level. They always preferred the top one for some reason.)
(That would sound so wrong if they weren't birds. XD)
We have a dog, but she's an evil dog. She hates everyone and everything, apparently. She's a chihuahua, so that might explain it. My mom didn't want another dog from that breed, but my dad bought her without consulting us, so we pretty much got stuck with her. We could do with an actually sane pet, who lets us do stuff for it.

Guinea pigs aren't terribly noisy, but it really depends on the pig. Some of them might never even make a peep unless they're scared. They all have different personalities, so some are noisier than others. But I've never encountered a pig that constantly made noise. Oh yes, I've had cockatiels. :D My mother has one, and he can be terribly loud. Especially at dinner time, because he wants to be a part of the action. He'll eat when they eat, and try and 'talk' while they're talking. But he at least quiets down when no one's around, and entertains himself with his toys.
Ah, the dreaded armpit piranha! ;) I've had some bad experiences with chihuahuas. They can be terribly spastic and vicious, and ridiculously temperamental. And you really can't get more sane than a guinea pig. I'd recommend a female, as they tend to be more docile than the males, and if you ever wanted a second, it's easier to introduce a grown female to a new cage mate than a male - the males can get territorial as they mature.
