I was just reading about Bettie Paige. What a shame. (My mom's name was Bettie, and she was about the same age as Bettie Paige, so I always thought of her when I saw the name, though my mom never posed for pin-ups I'm sure.)

That tree story makes me remember a very old Saturday Night Live routine about "Killer Christmas Trees."

Though fortunately no one was hurt!

The people I live with have a tree. It's really lovely but seems to lack homemade ornaments which is kind of a shame.
